Mask of Deception’s protagonist is highlighted in a new trailer. He’s an unlucky amnesiac who finds himself in a strange world filled with beastlike denizens and dangerous monsters. A friendly local, Kuon, names him Haku, and that’s about all he knows. Unfortunately, he quickly finds himself caught between Uzurusha and the Empire of Yamato, and being a bit weak, must rely on his wits to survive. He’ll be getting some help on May 23, though, with the announcement that two downloadable characters will join the fight: the sword-wielding Tamaki and spear-toting Sasara. Costume sets for each will also go live, Samurai and Swimsuit, for $2.99 apiece or $8.99 for all four.
Raven is getting into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit with a new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. The promo is currently ongoing and features a free themed map, Daybreak, a modified version of Downpour, which also has in-game challenges to earn the holiday-styled weapon camo Folium. Players also receive a free weekly Supply Drop by logging in. Other themed goodies include calling cards, camos, emblems, reticles, and an unlockable playable character, Darren “Graves” Cosgrave. The event, further detailed on Activision’s blog, will end at 2:00 p.m. (CST) on April 3.
NIS has released Danganronpa 1•2 Reload for PS4. The bundle includes the visual novels Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, previously exclusive to PS Vita. Both titles require that players work out who among their classmates is the killer after each gruesome murder during life-or-death trials, as the class slowly shrinks one by one. Guiding the proceedings is Monokuma, an insane bear who serves as judge and executioner.
Ann Takamaki, one of the intrepid Phantom Thieves from Persona 5, is voiced by actor Erika Harlacher. In a meta-tastic promo, she plays through a segment of Persona 5 that is important to Ann. The scenario shows a bit more of the world, with snippets of attending class at Shujin Academy and battling Shadows in the Metaverse. As a bonus, a free theme and three free avatars were released featuring Yusuke Kitagawa. These are only $0.00 until March 21, though, and are only for PS4.
