Sega will be releasing an all-in-one version of Total War: Rome II, the Emperor Edition. This version will include all of the patches and free DLC released to date, which have added several factions and units since launch, and a new Campaign Pack expansion titled Imperator Augustus. Current owners should be happy to hear that Imperator Augustus will be a free download for them, which will add a new campaign map based on the Second Triumvirate War. Players will be able to select between Lepidus, Marc Antony, and Octavian in the three-way struggle for the Republic. The pack will also offer “an improved politics system, overhauled building chains, rebalanced battles, and improved visuals in both campaign and battle.” Some of the changes include the ability to avoid civil wars, the rebellion of the player’s own general and units if civil war does break out, and a greater emphasis on managing gravitas.
Several additional features that have been added to the base game since launch include touch controls and Twitch integration. A Mac version is currently in beta and should be out soon.
Total War: Rome II is available for PC and is in beta for Mac.
