Kasedo Games has announced a new mech-themed real-time strategy title, Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons. As commander of the Black Talons mercenary outfit, players must team up with the defeated Genai forces in order to escape their conquered planet by breaking the blockade set up by the victorious Tzanar Union. The campaign will unfold to include up to five worlds, and progress is determined by how much the player affects a local system’s balance of power and their relations with other factions. Squads will be persistent and customizable, made up of specialized units with their own abilities, skill trees, and unique weapons. The Black Talons’ base will also be customizable with facilities to boost squad skills and numbers as well as bombard enemy units.
As if Dominions 4 wasn’t already packed to the point of bursting, developer Illwinter has added a new race to the 70-plus already in the game. The latest addition, the Ragha, are a dark race capable of adapting to hot and cold climates, with different units being available depending on which type of environment they’re recruited in. The update also features several fixes and tweaks, such as non-artifact items now capable of being unique, poison from poison daggers now ignoring etherealness, and a new population cap of 300,000. The full changelog can be found here.
NIS has released another set of screenshots from their upcoming investigative visual novel Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. A new cast of characters are being tasked with finding out who amongst them is a murderer before they themselves are found—going by the first game—beat, burned, stabbed, or impaled. The latest shots show some of the conversations that players will be having with their ‘ultimate’ classmates.
