And another pick-up for Aksys. Following the announcement that they will be publishing the visual novel Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters, the studio sent word that they will also be publishing the PS3 fighter Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late. Co-developed by French Bread and Arc System Works, Under Night will feature 16 characters, six game modes, including Arcade, Score Attack, and Survival, as well as online multiplayer. Fighting fans will have to wait a bit before they can get their hands on it, though, as it isn’t set for release until 2015.
A new overview trailer has been released for Atlus’ upcoming beat ’em up Abyss Odyssey. Developer Ace Team goes over many of the game’s features throughout the seven-minute-plus video, including the challenge rooms, ability to steal souls, and procedurally generated areas as well as multiplayer’s local and online co-op options.
Aksys took some time out of Anime Expo 2014 to reveal that they’ve secured the North American publishing rights to Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters. The visual novel follows a transfer student to Kurenai High School who joins two ghost hunters after they save him from an evil spirit he encounters while wandering the campus. The game is said to have “a strategic role-playing element” that will involve players outsmarting ghosts by clever use of special ghost-hunting items. A release date was not announced.
