Battle Princess of Arcadias, a side-scrolling beat ‘em up action RPG from NIS, has launched on PSN. As Battle Princess Plume, players must save the Kingdom of Schwert by destroying waves of invading monsters. The princess is capable of recruiting soldiers, upgrading her skills, and building a varied arsenal that includes axes, swords, spears, and even guns.

Payday 2: Big Bank DLC now available on Steam for PC

The PC version of Payday 2 has received a new DLC pack today, Big Bank. The $6.99 download features the Benevolent Bank, which sports better vaults and more guards than any previous bank but also houses bigger vaults and rewards. Since this is the biggest score to date, players will be able to engage a pre-planning phase to check out blueprints and choose power-ups, such as better weapons and getaway drivers. The pack also adds a new contact, The Dentist, voiced by Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito.

Shadowgate closed beta begins for pre-orders, Kickstarter backers

The Kickstarter-funded updated re-release of Shadowgate has entered closed beta. Adventure fans wanting to try it out can access the beta alongside campaign backers by pre-ordering the $24.99 Hero tier at the official site. Those interested in grabbing their virtual copy at a discounted price but would prefer to wait until launch to play it can still pre-order the game for $14.99, 25% off the regular price of $19.99.

Drakengard 3 gets final batch of DLC, contest announced

The last round of downloadable content has launched for Drakengard 3. Over six weapon and outfit packs as well as a prologue and a theme pack are now available on PSN, and each is detailed below. Several of the packs were pre-order bonuses or are from the Collector’s Edition, including three alternate color schemes for Zero, an outfit based off of Caim’s from Nier, a costume based from Nier’s outfit in the Japan-only Nier Replicant, and even a Giant Baby head for Mikhail styled after the bizarre creatures in the first Drakengard. One’s Prologue, formerly a CE exclusive, is also available, which helps to flesh out backstory behind all the bloody mayhem.
