MechRunner gets new screens as Kickstarter campaign nears goal

Spark Plug Games has announced they have nearly reached the funding goal for MechRunner’s Kickstarter campaign. The action title features a transforming mech that can switch between a tank mode and a sword-swinging bipedal mode. Players can also customize the mech with unlockable skins and upgrades. Spark Plug also plans on dynamic environments, which will change during play to offer cover and obstacles to battle around. A few new screens were released to entice gamers to help see the campaign through its funding goal.

One Piece Unlimited World Red dated for July 8, screens released

One Piece fans will be able to set out with their favorite characters on July 8 with the launch of One Piece Unlimited World Red. In addition to the launch date, Bandai Namco also revealed more details about the previously announced Battle Coliseum Mode. The battle mode will feature 20 characters, including the Straw-Hat crew, Boa Hancock, “Flame Fist” Ace D. Portgas, and Fujitora, as well as others that were previously limited to quests, such as Jimbei. A new batch of screenshots showing the characters squaring off in the new mode was also released.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma ver. 1.1 update going live this week

The PS3 version of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will be updated to version 1.1 at 12:00 a.m. (PST) this Wednesday, according to Aksys Games. The patch will focus on improving the challenge and training modes. The PS Vita version will be released as 1.1 when it launches on June 24.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution adds Kushina

Naruto’s mom, Kushina Uzumaki, is the latest addition to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution’s (whew) playable cast of characters. She also introduces a new storyline to the series, The Far Reaches of Hope, which will feature her as well as Rin, Kakashi, and Obito from Team Minato. New screenshots were released showing her and her deadly frying-pan combat skills in action.
