El Presidente will be bestowing his despotic talents on the peoples (and players) of Tropico 5 when it releases for PC on May 23. The Mac and Xbox 360 versions will be available this summer, and the PS4 version will launch afterwards this fall. A new website has also gone live to offer interested tyrants a better look at the game, and the Ministry of Propaganda also sent along some new screenshots for the further glorification of the island nation and to fully display its undeniable might.

Tropico 5 is scheduled to launch on May 23 for PC, this summer for 360 and Mac, and this fall for PS4.

You, as El Presidente, will first take control of the infamous island of Tropico during early colonial times and then guide it through the centuries as the world changes and moves ever forward. You must tackle the changing needs of your people, as well as opposing governments and factions, and thus lay the foundations for your own dynasty. As you move through your years in office you can promote members of your extended family on the island to positions of power: such as ambassador, commanding general or even Supreme Ruler, to ensure your legacy thrives through the eras.
