BlazBlue: Chrono Phantsma hitting store shelves, PSN on April 1

The BlazBlue brawlers return to the ring today with the release of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantsma. As Ragna the Bloodedge hunts down Yuuki Terumi, players will be able to battle using the new Overdrive mechanic, which charges characters the more health they lose, and seven new characters. The new roster additions are available on-disc and online, with four available from the outset, another unlockable, and the remaining two added via DLC (Kokonoe is up today and Yuuki Terumi on May 27). Network play is also said to be improved and enhanced with new mode upgrades.

For gamers who prefer to go digital, Chrono Phantsma will be available on PSN beginning April 1. From now until then, pre-orders will come with a free voucher for the character DLC for Kokonoe. Additionally, PS Plus members will receive 10% off.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantsma is available in stores for PS3 and will launch on April 1 on PSN.
