BioShock Infinite’s post-launch storyline comes to an end today with the release of Burial at Sea – Episode Two. The last hurrah follows Elizabeth “in a film noir-style story” set within the city of Rapture and is a direct sequel to the first episode. Farewell to the best coin- and ammo-tosser in the business.
The witch has sent her summons, and it’s time to take up your battered arms and head into battle. As the Hundred Night in NIS’ latest action RPG for PS3, The Witch and the Hundred Knight, players must fulfill their contract with the swamp witch Metallia by expanding her domain throughout the lands of Medea. Would-be heroes must be defeated, protective pillars crushed, and nearby villages raided if her toxic realm is to spread.
Evil forces are once again in need of smiting today with the launch of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. The expansion adds the new Crusader hero, who joins the Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor, and Wizard from the original release, a new increased level cap (70), randomized Bounty challenges, the Mystic artisan for more loot customization, randomized dungeons within the Nephalem Rifts, and a new Adventure Mode for free exploration. Act V will have players facing off against Malthael, the Angel of Death. In anticipation of Reader of Souls, a new update went live for the base game, which revamped the loot system, increased the number of options for forming Clans and Communities, and expanded the Paragon progression system.
The BlazBlue brawlers return to the ring today with the release of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantsma. As Ragna the Bloodedge hunts down Yuuki Terumi, players will be able to battle using the new Overdrive mechanic, which charges characters the more health they lose, and seven new characters. The new roster additions are available on-disc and online, with four available from the outset, another unlockable, and the remaining two added via DLC (Kokonoe is up today and Yuuki Terumi on May 27). Network play is also said to be improved and enhanced with new mode upgrades.
