Ten new cars will be added to Forza 5’s roster next Tuesday, according to MS and Turn 10 Studios. The latest downloadable drop, the Smoking Tire Car Pack, will run $10 and count among its roster the 2000 BMW Z8, the 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, the 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo, and the 2011 Ferrari FF. Additional details on all of the new rides can be found below. The cars can be purchased as a set or individually using either tokens or in-game credits.
Namco Bandai will be adding another entry to their 3DS line-up later this year, Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle. Scheduled to launch this summer, the action title, based off the animated series airing on Cartoon Network, will allow players to control the Tenkai Knights in their battle against Vilius and his minions for the world of Quarton. The game will feature 2D combat, character customization, a story mode, and a four-player versus mode.
Microsoft announced that they will be releasing Halo: Spartan Assault for 360 tomorrow. Gamers who purchased the Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8 version before December 15 will be able to download the game for $4.99, while new players will be able to purchase the title for $14.99. The 360 version will feature over 30 missions, including the Operation Hydra expansion, and online co-op play (not supported with Xbox One multiplayer). Spartan Assault, set between Halo 3 and 4, is a top-down shooter that tasks players with battling the Covenant as part of the newly formed Spartan Ops program.
El Presidente has surveyed the next-gen landscape, and he likes what he sees. To further the glory of his reign and of his island, the benevolent one has decided to share his city-management title Tropico 5 with PS4 players. Kalypso Media has announced that Haemimont Studios is currently working on the series’ PS debut, in addition to versions for 360 and PC, which will introduce a new dynasty feature to the long-running series. Tropico 5 will also add new research trees, new technology, improved trading mechanics, exploration, and both co-op and competitive multiplayer for up to four players.
Namco Bandai has some good news for fans of fighting games, and that’s a retail release and new mode for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle. The CyberConnect2-developed fighter, released last August in Japan, will be launching later this year online for download and to purchase on disc. The PS3 exclusive will be available to download through PSN and also in limited availability in physical format through Amazon.com and ClubNamco.com. The Western release will include not only post-release balance tweaks but also a new mode, Arcade, which adds an eight-player tournament.
