Square Enix announced a Collector’s Edition release for their upcoming set Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. The PS3 will receive the CE along with the standard edition when it is released on March 18, but it will only be available through the Square Enix Online Store. The $79.99 package will include a 40-page hardcover artbook, five lithographs, and a soundtrack on Blu-ray with over six hours of music. Some new screens were released alongside shots of the CE.
Illwinter’s fantastically flummoxing strategy game Dominions 4: Thrones of Ascension is now available on Steam for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. The latest entry in the 15-year-old series tasks players with leading a faction to victory in one of three different periods by having their pretender god become the one deity worshipped across the lands. Thrones of Ascension adds more spells, units, and a co-op mode, Disciples. It’s a daunting game to be sure, but it features an exceptional system of layered mechanics—thumbs up from us.
Capcom revealed some new information about Ultra Street Fighter IV this past weekend during their Capcom Cup event in San Francisco. The last mystery character was not announced, unfortunately, but the good news is that two modes have been added: Online Training Mode and Team Battle Mode. The former will allow players to spar with one another online, while the latter will add 3v3 matches to online play. New screenshots were also released, showing more of the 44-character roster battling it out in some of the six new stages.
