Sony has announced that the PS4 has sold over 2.1 million units as of December 1. The total includes 700,000 that have sold throughout Europe and Australasia since its launch in those territories on November 29. The release quotes Andrew House, President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, as stating that the system has “delivered the best launch in PlayStation history.” It was also noted that there have been over 6.5 million shares captured via Facebook and broadcasting sites Twitch and Ustream using the DualShock 4’s Share button.

There are currently over 20 titles available for PS4, including Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Madden NFL 25, and Need for Speed Rivals.
