Launching today alongside the Xbox One is Capcom’s latest zombie slasher (and basher and drive-over-er) Dead Rising 3. The One exclusive features an open world filled with the undead that players must navigate as Nick Ramos, who must battle enemies amongst the living and the dead as he navigates Los Perdidos alongside fellow survivors. Players will once again be able to use anything not nailed down as a weapon, craft new gear and more powerful arsenals, and hop into abandoned vehicles to get about the packed streets.
The first round of screenshots as well as additional concept art from Stardock’s upcoming 4X strategy title Galactic Civilizations III have been revealed. The upcoming entry will be exclusive to 64-bit PCs and add, among other modes and features, an overhauled ship builder, new resource systems, and a new race, the Iridium. The quad-eyed newcomers, and their various forms, are pictured in the art below.
LittleBigPlanet creator Media Molecule’s latest 3D platformer, Tearaway, is now available for PS Vita. The papercraft-themed adventure takes players through a folklore-inspired world as the unseen helpful hand of a messenger who is attempting to make his rounds. According to the release, the game’s engine utilizes “real physics of paper material that will tear, fold, or crumple, especially when the player reaches out and touches part of the world.” Players can also unlock printable patterns based on items in the game, allowing them to construct actual objects that they’ve run across on their journey.
Battlefield 4 has been sent out on its final deployment today with its release for Xbox One. In addition to the launch announcement, DICE also had a note for fans who have been playing one of the other versions and have experienced some problems, which is that they “have the entire team working to stabilize the game and we will not move on to other projects until we are sure that Battlefield 4 meets – and exceeds – your expectations.” A Double XP weekend was announced to thank players for their patience, which will begin on November 28 and run through December 5. A special weapon add-on, the 3X-zoom-enabled M1911 pistol scope, will also be given to players that log in on December 5.
