Namco Bandai has announced that Soulcalibur II HD Online will be launching on November 19 for PS3 and on November 20 for 360. The $19.99 release will not only include updated visuals and support for online play, but it will also feature two of the three characters that were console exclusives when the game originally launched in 2003: Heihachi and Spawn. Several new gameplay trailers were also released and are available below.
Spiderweb Software’s latest role-playing game has hit the download circuit. Avadon 2: The Corruption is now available for Mac and Windows PC on GOG.com, Steam, and the official website. Picking up where The Black Fortress left off, players must not only fight off invading foes after the fall of the fortress but also stave off an impending civil war in Avadon. In addition to new quests, weapons, and artifacts, The Corruption also adds a new class, the Tinkermage.
Two new tribute albums have been released for Mega Man’s big 25, Sumthing Else Music Works’ MM25: Mega Man Rocks and OverClocked ReMix’s For Everlasting Peace: 25 Years of Mega Man. MM25 is a compilation of new tracks from The Protomen, who provide a new song, Bit Brigade, Mega Ran, The Megas, Arm Cannon, and X-Hunters that sample or are inspired by tunes from the Mega Man and Mega Man X series. For Everlasting Peace features fully licensed arrangements from several entries, including Mega Man, Mega Man X, Mega Man Legends, Mega Man Battle Network, and Mega Man Zero.
Namco Bandai has announced that the Dark Souls II beta that was scheduled for October 26 has been rescheduled for November 9. Those who have already downloaded the client will be able to play in the next round, which will run from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (PST). According to Namco Bandai, they have “worked with all parties concerned in the beta staging process to ensure that the November 9th beta round will commence on schedule and as promised.” New screenshots were released with the announcement and over a dozen posted, so be sure not to miss them below, PC and Xbox 360 gamers.
