Nintendo will be releasing its latest entries in the Pokémon franchise, X and Y, tomorrow. Both titles will feature a host of new features and content, including the ability to connect with Trainers online, more Trainer customization options, Mega Evolutions and Horde Encounters during combat, three new Pokémon, and touchscreen support for interacting with Pokémon to bond with them for better performance in battle. Players will explore the new region of Kalos on foot or, for the first time, on roller skates, where they will encounter Xerneas in Pokémon X and Yveltal in Pokémon Y.
A few tie-in apps will be available for download on December 27. The Pokémon Bank will allow players to store up to 3,000 Pokémon for an annual fee. The Poké Transporter, a companion app to the bank, will allow players to transfer Pokémon from Black Version (1 and 2) and White Version (1 and 2) to the bank for use in X and Y.
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are scheduled to launch in stores and on eShop on October 12 for 3DS.
