Call of Duty: Ghosts trailer details cross-platform Clans, Clan Wars

Activision has released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts revealing Clans and Clan Wars. Clans is a feature for multiplayer that allows players to group together to battle through unique playlists for special unlocks and is tied to an app to alter info and set up games. It will also be cross-platform compatible, with the exception of Nintendo’s systems, a first for the series. Clan Wars is a downloadable game that pits clans against one another to secure battlefield locations to unlock bonus items and gain additional experience.

Starting today, gamers can create or join a clan prior to the game’s launch. Existing Clan Leaders can reserve their clan’s name “on a first-come, first-serve basis, as well as copy over and manage their existing Call of Duty Elite Clan Member roster.” Players not in a clan can sign up to create or join one. This period will only run through October 25. For more information, check out the official blog.
