Konami has announced that it has opened a new development studio in Los Angeles. The studio will assist with several titles going forward, but most notably, it will focus on working with Kojima Productions on future entries in the Metal Gear Solid franchise. According to Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., “the new studio will put Kojima Productions in the heart of the west which will benefit future releases as it will introduce new talent and creativity to the development teams.”

The Metal Gear Solid franchise recently celebrated 25 years, and will be returning next year with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for 360, PS3, PS4, and Xbox One.
