Rayman Legends bounds his way onto console, PC, and PS Vita

The armless, legless platforming wonder returns today with the launch of Rayman Legends for 360, PC, PS3, PS Vita, and Wii U. The follow-up to Origins takes place 100 years later, with Rayman and his friends waking up from their slumber to find that the Glade of Dreams has been invaded by nightmares. His latest adventure features not only traditional platforming but also new rhythm-based stages. Another new feature, exclusive to the Wii U version, is support for a fifth player, who can use the GamePad controller to take control of Murfy.

Ryse: Son of Rome combat detailed in new video documentary entry

Crytek has released a new video in their documentary series covering the development of their upcoming Xbox One action title Ryse: Son of Rome. The latest entry focuses on combat, including a look at the Roman combat expert that was consulted and the motion-capture technology used to bring Marius to life. The six-minute entry also features interviews with several team members, including gameplay director Patrick Esteves, senior producer Brian Chambers, and animator Joseph Garrahan.

Sega has launched a new reimagined version of Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse. The 1991 classic platformer has been redesigned in 3D for current consoles and PC, and is available today for 360 and tomorrow for PC and PS3. The graphics might have been updated, but the story remains the same, with players guiding Mickey through the Castle of Illusion’s five worlds in his quest to save Minnie from the evil witch Mizrabel.

The Space Hulk series will be returning as a first-person shooter with Streum On Studio’s Space Hulk: Deathwing. The E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy developer will be porting over the boardgame using the latest Unreal Engine with the assistance of Cyanide Studio. Deathwing will allow players to battle Genestealers inside of a Space Hulk as a Librarian from the Dark Angels, gaining new skills, abilities, and equipment as their Space Marine works their way through the craft’s myriad passages.
