Activision has announced that Treyarch’s latest DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Vengeance, will be launching on August 1 for PC and PS3. The $14.99 add-on features four maps, detailed below, and two additions for Zombies: the Ray Gun Mark II, and Buried, which has players team up with returning characters to protect an Old West mining town from the undead.
Deep Silver is looking to expand the Metro: Last Light universe next week with the launch of Faction Pack. The 4A Games-developed drop will include three new single-player missions, each featuring a character from a different faction: a Redline Special Detachment Sniper tasked with infiltrating a Reich Outpost, a Reich ‘Heavy’ assigned with defending the Frontline, and a Polis Ranger on the hunt in the Library for artifacts and relics.
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag’s director Ashraf Ismail talks gamers through the life of a pirate in a new gameplay trailer. The footage features Edward Kenway, Royal Navy officer turned pirate, sailing the ocean in search of treasure to loot and enemy ships to capture. Kenway upgrades a captured ship, takes on new crew members, and takes controls of a fort after a successful raid.
Soldak has announced that the first expansion to their space-based action-RPG Drox Operative, Ancients, is now available for pre-order. The Mac and Windows add-on features the return of the Ancient races who were expelled by the Drox before they turned on and were in turn crushed by their Operatives. Now that the Ancients have returned, they are looking for revenge, and the Drox Operatives are in their sights. Ancients includes new quests, new components, new monsters, and a new race, the Scavengers. Gamers who pre-order will receive access to the latest beta build as well as 10% off the regular price of $9.99.
