Free Fall map pre-order bonus announced for Call of Duty: Ghosts

Activision has announced a new pre-order bonus for Call of Duty: Ghosts, the Free Fall downloadable map. The level features the new dynamic map event mechanic, and will be available at launch. Free Fall will put players into a skyscraper that’s on the verge of collapse, and will slowly fall as the round plays out, causing debris to clutter the battlefield and new pathways to emerge while others are cut off.

Rise of the Triad dated, Apogee Throwback Pack bonus announced

The upcoming Unreal Engine 3-powered remake of Rise of the Triad from Interceptor Entertainment has been officially dated for July 31. Publisher Apogee Software also announced a new pre-order bonus for the $14.99 release, with early buyers receiving a four-game compilation dubbed the Apogee Throwback Pack for free. The set, normally $9.99, includes Rise of the Triad: Dark War, Extreme Rise of the Triad, Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold, and Blake Stone: Planet Strike. The deal is available on Apogee’s official site, GOG.com, Green Man Gaming, and Steam.

Interstellar Marines launching tomorrow on Steam’s Early Access

Zero Point Software has sent word that their upcoming shooter, Interstellar Marines, will be available tomorrow on Steam’s Early Access. Players will be able to download a pre-alpha release as part of their purchase of the $14.99 standard version or the $39.99 special package, which comes with access to upcoming exclusive content and an extra key for sharing. The studio stressed the build quality of the release, stating that “many features haven’t been developed or added to the game yet” and that new content and fixes will be added on a regular basis. During this time, Zero Point will also be taking community feedback into account as they add new features and refine mechanics.
