A new round of screens has been released for Frogwares’ upcoming physics-based action title, Magrunner Dark Pulse. The shots reveal more of what’s in store for Dax, a new recruit for the Magtech training program, a special regiment designed to prepare explorers for the rigors of space. After an earthquake causes horrific creatures to emerge from deep space, with designs inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos, Dax must use his magnetically charged glove to survive as they slowly overrun the training complex.

Grid 2 launches for consoles and PC, new screens released

Codemasters’ latest racer, Grid 2, is now available for 360, PC, and PS3. Launching alongside the title is the new RaceNet website that allows players to track their progress, access new events, tackle global challenges, and unlock special achievements. An app that will tie in to the site is also nearing completion, and is scheduled to launch “very soon.”

Crytek is going back to the jungle next week with the latest DLC pack for Crysis 3, The Lost Island. After traces of an alien presence are found in the West Pacific, rebel forces are dispatched to destroy the object before Cell troops can retrieve it. The multiplayer-focused drop will include four new maps set on a small island in the Philippines, new weapons, and two new modes, Frenzy and Possession.

Tales of Xillia Limited Edition announced as first-run bonus

Tales fans looking forward to Tales of Xillia will be able to snag an early run Limited Edition. Similar to how Atlus and NIS America bundle goodies with the first print run of their games, Namco Bandai will be including several bonuses with the first-run copies of the standard $59.99 release: a character profile booklet, a soundtrack, and two downloadable costumes. A pre-order will guarantee a Limited Edition copy, and those who have already pre-ordered the standard version will have their order automatically upgraded.

The legalese is about to come fast and furious at iOS gamers now that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD collection has launched on the App Store for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. The set includes the first three games in the series (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice for All, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations) with upgraded visuals. As defense attorney Phoenix Wright, players will be able to cross-examine witnesses as well as gather and examine evidence.

Atlus has announced that Vanillaware’s upcoming beat ‘em up Dragon’s Crown will come with free launch DLC. The pack will replace the original narrator with one of the six characters—Amazon, Dwarf, Elf, Fighter, Sorceress, or Wizard—depending on the player’s preference. The pack is free only for the first month, after which it will cost $1.99 to download.

It’s hard not to toss in a “Come out to ppllaaaaaayyyyy!” with the announcement that The Warriors is now on PSN. Well, it seems I did anyway. For those who missed it, The Warriors is based off the timeless action film from the 1970s that follows the Warriors attempting to battle their way through a New York City filled with themed rival gangs. Rockstar licensed the property and turned it into a beat ‘em up in the early 2000s, and it’s available today for $9.99 as a part of the PS2 Classics line.

Insomniac Games’ co-op shooter Fuse launches for 360, PS3

Fuse, Insomniac Games’ co-op-centric third-person shooter, is now available in stores for consoles and online for PC. The Ratchet & Clank developer’s multiplatform debut features four playable operatives that can be controlled by friends, online or locally via splitscreen, or in turn solo by using the Leap mechanic. Each character has their own skillset and weapons, which players use to take down the rogue paramilitary force known as Raven. Upgradeable alien weapons are also available and powered through the use of Fuse.
