Divinity: Original Sin reaches first stretch goal, more extras en route

Larian’s Kickstarter campaign for Divinity: Original Sin continues to roll along, with the studio surpassing their initial goal of $400,000 with 10 days to go. Larian has announced that the first stretch goal, a new in-game area called The Shelter Plane at The End Of Time, has been reached now that funding has surpassed $500,000. The shelter will serve as a homestead for players to store items and leave party members. It was also announced that another area, The Phantom Forest, will be expanded for every additional 1,000 backers.

As an added bonus, a live piano recital by Original Sin composer Kirill Pokrovsky will air on Twitch TV and the game’s official website this Thursday, April 18, at 19:00 GMT+1.

Divinity: Original Sin is an open-world traditional RPG featuring turn-based combat and single-player and cooperative gameplay in which the actions and choices of players have true significance and consequences. It will ship with the editor that was used by the developers to make the game, making it the first game in a long time to sport a RPG editor that supports multiplayer.
