EA has officially announced Battlefield 4. The Dice-developed, Frostbite 3-powered entry is slated to launch this fall and was introduced with a 17-minute video of in-game footage. The trailer follows the player’s character, Recker, escaping from a sinking car, making his way through a desolate building, and meeting up with and commanding fellow squadmates.
Some of the new features to be introduced include multiplayer elements into the single-player campaign, such as larger destructible environments, direct squad command, and player stat tracking. The Premium Expansion was also announced for pre-orders, as well as a Digital Deluxe version for Origin that includes bonus in-game items, everything included with the Premium expansion, and access to the multiplayer beta.
Battlefield 4 will be available this fall for 360, PC, and PS3.
