FromSoftware will be returning to the world of giant army-crushing robots this summer with Armored Core: Verdict Day for 360 and PS3. Publisher Namco Bandai announced that players will battle alone or in squads of up to 20 friends for the remaining scraps in a resource-starved, war-torn world. In-game factions can also be hired to lend a hand for solo pilots as they battle for territories controlled by other players in a persistent multiplayer mode.
Operator Mode will be returning, offering new upgrades and a tactical top-down command view. The tactical view will not only show more of the battlefield but also allow players to set rally points, mark targets, and receive real-time footage from squadmates’ cockpits. Armored Core V owners will also be able to import their saved data and customized mechs, and further augment their mech with new armor pieces, boosters, guns, and shields.
