Avadon 2: The Corruption announced for iOS, Mac, and Windows
Spiderweb has announced the second release in the Avadon trilogy, Avadon 2: The Corruption. The story continues from its predecessor, The Black Fortress, as players continue in their role as a Hand of the Black Fortress. After an expected raid shattered the once-peaceful land, players must decide whether they want to protect its people or side with a rising power and deliver the fatal blow to Avadon.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate demo launches on eShop for 3DS, Wii U
A demo for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, the upcoming Monster Hunter Tri enhanced re-release, has launched on eShop for 3DS and Wii U. The single-player trial include two full quests—one for beginners, one for intermediate players—12 different weapon options, and both land and sea battles.

Destiny to come out simultaneously for PS3 and PS4, trailer released
Bungie has released more details about the recently announced Destiny, their upcoming first-person shooter that takes place in a hub-based persistent world. Coinciding with PlayStation Meeting 2013, studio co-founder Jason Jones announced that both the PS3 and PS4 versions will be available when Destiny launches. Studio president Harold Ryan also revealed that the PlayStation line will include exclusive content.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen gameplay trailer released
A new gameplay trailer has been released for Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, the upcoming enhanced re-release. The minute-plus-long video shows some of the dangers that will greet players during their time in the newly added Bitterblack Isle, including Necrophagous, beasts that seek out decomposing flesh; a cave-dwelling Elder Ogre; a Cursed Dragon; and fog-spewing Garms.

Mass Effect 3 to get new multiplayer, final single-player DLC packs
Just when you thought Commander Shepard had retired, BioWare has called him—or her—back into action. EA has announced that two new DLC packs are being primed for release, the free multiplayer pack Reckoning and the for-pay single-player pack Citadel. Reckoning will launch on February 26 and include new characters, upgrades, and weapons, and will be previewed on BioWare Edmonton’s twitch.tv channel on February 25 at 9:30 a.m. (PST). Citadel, the last single-player pack, will launch on March 5 and feature characters from all three titles on a mission set inside the sprawling space station.

Sony reveals PlayStation 4 details at PlayStation Meeting 2013
Sony revealed initial details about the PlayStation 4 today at the two-hour-plus PlayStation Meeting 2013 in New York. While the final hardware build wasn’t shown and price not announced, the technical specifications and upcoming software features were. The upcoming cycle of Sony’s flagship console will focus on server-side, cloud-based streaming, social media integration, and greater connectivity with mobiles, in particular the PS Vita.
