Blizzard is gearing up for the impending release of Heart of the Swarm, the first expansion for StarCraft II, with a new update for Wings of Liberty. The studio has released three videos detailing what’s been changed and added, as well as summaries, included below. Some highlights include new streamlined menu screens, increased privacy options to hide build order and match history, an increase in player party size to 16, and Unranked Play for matchmaking.
There’s been a murder! And the victim … is you. (Cue dramatic music). The mysterious case of who killed you will be revealed next year when Square Enix releases Murdered: Soul Suspect for 360, PC, and PS3. Not much else is known at this time, save for what can be gleaned from the brief teaser, though I think it’s safe to say that some ethereal justice is at hand.
Beamdog and Overhaul Games’ updated and beefed-up Baldur’s Gate re-release, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, will be available for OS X on February 22. This initial release date is only for Beamdog.com, with the Mac App Store launch slated for a later, unspecified date. The Enhanced Edition adds the Black Pits, an arena challenge, new party members, new dialog, and various tweaks.
Bloody Palace Mode, the post-campaign 100-level, five-boss gauntlet, is now available for DmC Devil May Cry. The free download will be joined shortly by Vergil’s Downfall, though not quite as soon as expected. Dante’s brother will be setting out on his new adventure on March 5 for PC and PS3, and May 6 for 360. The digital add-on will include a new storyline, along with new enemies, weapons, combos, and locations, as well four difficulty levels.
Daedalic Entertainment has announced The Night of the Rabbit, a new puzzle- and magic-rabbit-filled adventure title for Mac and PC. Already a year-plus in development, the Deponia developer has revealed that an international version, with support for seven languages including English, will be available on digital outlets later this year, on May 29.
