It’s time to run some liquor and shoot up some joints, Omerta – City of Gangsters is now available in stores for 360 and PC. Opportunity awaits in Prohibition-era Atlantic City, and as a newly arrived immigrant wanting the finer things in life, players will stake their claim to everything their new home has to offer. Starting off as a small-time hoodlum, players must work their way up the criminal underworld by taking on assignments to earn cash, gain influence, and push out rivals.
The PC is home to many things, from addictive wargames to incredible space-based roguelikes, but what it lacks, and lacks severely, is rock. It seems the good people at Double Fine have heard the metal-less cries of the masses and are answering with their secret weapon: Jack Black. Well, okay, only some Jack Black—and to be fair, “some” is often more than enough—in their action-strategy hybrid Brütal Legend. Scheduled to launch on February 26, headbangers can slay virtual demons for a discounted price of $14.99 by pre-ordering on Steam, which also allows access to the ongoing multiplayer beta. Other bonuses include Eddie Riggs’ hair and his guitar Clementine as Team Fortress 2 items.
HandyMan Studios has revealed more of their progress on Edge of Space, their upcoming space-based sandbox survival-adventure. The latest batch of media includes some new screenshots as well as the final box art. Edge of Space is currently in beta but available for pre-order, with early adopters receiving access to the beta and a discount, from $14.99 to $9.99, at Desura and Digital Rain Games.
