Wargame: European Escalation now available for Mac

Eugen System’s real-time strategy game Wargame: European Escalation is now available for Mac. And for those adventurous dual-OS folk out there, Windows users who already purchased the title will be able to download the Mac version for free.

Building on the foundation of RUSE, European Escalation continues the heavy use of zoom to offer an on-the-ground view as well as a more strategic vantage, as well as large battlefields and a sizeable array of units.

Set in the rarely explored period of 1975-1985, Wargame: European Escalation pits NATO (USA and Western Europe) against the Warsaw Pact (Soviet and Eastern European countries) in battles that explore “what could have been.” The specter of nuclear warfare loomed large over the real Cold War, but this catastrophic outcome was the ultimate last resort as everyone knew that the first one to start nuclear hostilities would end up wiped out just the same.
