Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will close out this winter pulling double duty when it launches for both the 3DS and Wii U on March 19. Both games will also be available digitally around the same time. For those wanting to give the game a try before release, a playable demo is scheduled to go live for both systems on February 21.
Both versions will support single- and multiplayer, with the Wii U supporting up to four players online, including voice chat, and the 3DS four players locally. The 3DS version can also handle a combination of systems with up to 3DS systems and one Wii U.
In Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, players take on the role of a hunter sent to explore a settlement within the Monster Hunter universe, completing quests on their journey to seek and slay monsters while improving their skills and earning equipment upgrades. With many challenging monsters and over 200 quests, the latest addition to the series is set to be the most expansive offering to date.
