Konami has announced that the next entry in the Metal Gear series, the Kojima Productions and PlatinumGames co-developed Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, will be hitting store shelves on February 19. In addition to the release date, Konami also released a new batch of screenshots showing off the new action-oriented approach.
Revengeance will feature the cyborg ninja Raiden, the infamous white-haired one who made his debut in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. The developers are looking to combine “the best elements of pure action and epic storytelling” as Raiden combats rogue Private Military Companies in a future dominated by cybernetic technology.
