The update that PS Vita users have been waiting for is almost here. Sony has announced that ver. 1.80, the update that will add support for PSOne titles, will launch on August 28. The update will also add support for cross-play functionality, cross-save functionality, playback controls in the Video app, and imported music playlists from PS3 and iTunes.
Sony also announced that they will be extending their PlayStation Plus service to PS Vita users later this year. The service will be similar to the one offered to PS3 users, allowing subscribers to access free as well as exclusive content.
