Codemasters announces Grid 2 for 2013 console, PC racing season

Codemasters has announced that Grid 2 is currently in full development for 360, PC, and PS3. The sequel will bring back the Flashback time-rewind feature from the original, as well as feature four decades’ worth of selected rides from Asia, Europe, and the U.S. Players will race on courses from licensed circuits around the world, with tracks hosted in such locales as Abu Dhabi, California, Miami, and Paris.

Grid 2 is will utilize a new mechanic, the TrueFeel Handling System, which is said to “use real physics to hit a sweet spot between accessibility and simulation.” Multiplayer is also going to implement a new progression system, as well as emphasize customization and RaceNet integration.
