Queasy Games’ rhythm-based platformer Sound Shapes has launched for PS3 and PS Vita. The $14.99 release includes a single-player campaign comprised of five records and 20-plus environments, with gameplay combining traditional platforming with rhythm action, as well as an editor mode that allows for players to create and share custom levels.
Players will be able to create the game’s music as they run, jump, stick, and interact with objects in the environment, forming tracks from such acts as Beck and Jim Guthrie. Several studios also lent a hand to help the worlds come alive, with Capy, Superbrothers, Pyramid Attack, and others providing unique art for each level.
And as a bonus, both the PS3 and PS Vita versions are bundled together, which is especially handy considering that Sound Shapes supports the new cross-save feature. Sony also announced that DLC is in the near future, though no specifics were given.
