Atlus made some waves recently with the announcement that its upcoming fighter based on the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, Persona 4 Arena, will be the first PlayStation 3 game to be region locked. While the option has always been available for companies, Atlus is the first to take advantage of it due to the short window between releases. Atlus has launched the official site for their upcoming PSP strategy-RPG Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time. The fourth entry in the long-running series is hitting our side of the ocean for the first time since its launch in Japan in 2003.
The Tales series will be continuing its story next year with the release of Tales of Xillia for the PS3. According to Namco Bandai Games America’s VP of Marketing, Carlson Choi, the success of both Tales of the Abyss for 3DS and Tales of Graces f for PS3 made the decision to localize Xillia “one of the easiest decisions we have ever made.”
