As a card-carrying member of the Sega Saturn fan club, I just got done high-fiving the other member at the news that Sega will be releasing a download-only HD update of the original Nights into Dreams this fall for 360, PC, and PS3.
Aside from a well-intentioned but uninspired sequel to the rail racer, action-platformer hybrid released back in 2007, Nights: Journey of Dreams for the Wii, the series has been relegated to cameos in North America. But now the original is back, and even better, in addition to the updated version, which will sport support for leaderboards and 16:9, a playable version of the Sega Saturn original will be included in the download.
Is it too soon to hope for a Christmas Nights re-release?
