Some surprising news out of Square Enix today with the studio announcing a new download-only release of Final Fantasy VII for PC in honor of the franchise’s 25th Anniversary.
The 1997 fan-favorite entry was already ported to PC back in 1998, but this new version will include cloud saving and a game editor, allowing players to tweak health, magic, and money. An in-game achievement system is also planned, so that players can “explore various facets of the game and share progress with friends online.” Currently, the title will be exclusive to the Square Enix Store.
