GOG.com is kicking off the summer sales season with a new promo allowing gamers to decide which of two pre-selected games will receive a 60% discount, and by giving away two Ultimas.

For each day from today until July 5, two games will be hosted on GOG.com’s Battle of the Games page. For 24 hours, users will have the chance to toss their vote towards which title they would rather see discounted by 60%. But even those who prefer the losing title will still be able to score their preferred game at a discount of 40%. Rounds begin at 9 a.m. (EST), and the discounts run for 24 hours. The first matchup is between two adventure juggernauts: Myst: Masterpiece Edition and The 7th Guest.

Role-playing fans should be over the moon at GOG.com’s next offer: free copies of Worlds of Ultima: The Savage Empire and Ultima: Worlds of Adventure 2: Martian Dreams. EA teamed up with the digital service to reintroduce the off-shoot titles to a new audience, free of all DRM and packed with extras. The Savage Empire features a less-rigorous role-playing experience but sets a more adventurous tone, sending players to a land of lush jungles, rivers of lava, stone-age tribes, and dinosaurs. Martian Dreams goes even further off the beaten path with the Avatar joining Dr. Spector for a trip to Mars in 1893, where they will meet Roosevelt, Tesla, and H.G. Wells.
