Warner Bros. is jumping into the multiplayer online battle arena genre this fall with Guardians of Middle-earth for the 360 and PS3. The Monolith-developed title will feature 10 players brawling in five-versus-five battles throughout Middle-earth, calling in the aid of over 20 guardians, including Gandalf, Sauron, and Gollum. In-game voice chat, stat tracking, and leaderboards will supplement the action.
Even though Guardians of Middle-earth is set to be a tie-in for the upcoming film The Hobbit, Warner Bros. plans on supporting the game after the film’s release with additional playable guardians.
