Dragon’s Dogma, Capcom’s open-world action-RPG, is now available for 360 and PS3. As the Arisen, players are chosen to leave their humble hamlet and set out on a quest to defeat a mighty dragon. With their computer-controlled pawns in tow, players embark on an adventure throughout a high-fantasy world that features open environments and “exhilarating skill-based action combat” to fulfill their role as a peasant turned warrior.

The main character as well as a main pawn are fully customizable, with build type and starting class impacting weapon, armor, and combat proficiency. Further along, players will be able to form hybrid classes as well as try out other players’ pawns. Through an online system known as the Rift, pawns can be recruited, borrowed, and rented out, with the owner receiving loot and info from their pawn’s journey. A touch of social integration allows in-game shots of the pawns in action to be shared over Facebook and Twitter. For those who don’t go online, or would prefer to stick solo play, the game includes thousands of pre-made pawns.

A demo with the option to export a created character and pawn into the full game is currently available on both Live Marketplace and PSN. Downloadable content is also planned, including additional quests and item upgrades.

And lastly, as an added bonus, the game includes a code to download the Resident Evil 6 demo that is set to launch on July 3 on Live and on September 4 on PSN.
