Role-playing fans still on the fence about chipping in towards the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter campaign might find themselves reaching for their wallets after the latest bit of news from inXile. According to the studio, if the campaign reaches $2,100,000, then Chris Avellone, chief creative officer of Obsidian Entertainment, will work directly with the design team. In addition, Obsidian as a company will also chip in by providing expertise and development tools.
inXile also detailed how gamers from outside the traditional Kickstarter zone can fund the project. Per head honcho Brian Fargo: “We want to let everyone know that we are now accepting PayPal pledges directly though the Wasteland web portal. Some of our biggest fans come from Germany and Eastern Europe, yet they have been unable to support us through the Kickstarter/Amazon pay system. We now have an alternative PayPal site set up for such gamers at http://wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com.”
