inXile to enlist Obsidian if Wasteland 2 drive surpasses $2.1 million
Role-playing fans still on the fence about chipping in towards the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter campaign might find themselves reaching for their wallets after the latest bit of news from inXile. According to the studio, if the campaign reaches $2,100,000, then Chris Avellone, chief creative officer of Obsidian Entertainment, will work directly with the design team. In addition, Obsidian as a company will also chip in by providing expertise and development tools.

Rayman Origins launches for PC
After making the console and handheld rounds, Rayman Origins is now available for PC. The download-only release has launched on Steam, Ubishop, and other digital outlets for $29.99.

Anomaly Warzone Earth advances onto Live Arcade next month
11 bit studios’ Anomaly Warzone Earth, a ‘reverse tower defense’ title that has already found a home on iOS, Mac and PC, is scheduled to launch on Live Arcade on April 6. The studio has also announced that it will cost 800 MS Points for players to be able to fight back the alien invasion from the comfort of their sofa. The iOS release has done well since launch, winning the Apple Design Award and Runner-Up for Game of the Year on the Mac App Store.

Hegemony Gold: Wars of Ancient Greece makes its way to Steam
Longbow Games’ excellent strategy title Hegemony Gold: Wars of Ancient Greece is now available on Steam. The $19.99 download ($9.99 if you are upgrading to Gold) includes three campaigns and a sandbox mode. Gamers dreaming of a glorious Macedonian empire can play The Rise of Philip to set the groundwork as Philip of Macedon. The famous Peloponnesian War is also represented, with the two remaining campaigns, The Archidamian War and The Ionian War, pitting players against Sparta as Athens and then against Athens as Sparta.
