Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning to get The Legend of Dead Kel DLC

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will be receiving a new DLC pack, The Legend of Dead Kel, on March 20. All told, the DLC sounds like it’ll be a healthy one. The new location, the island of Gallows End, is estimated to add 15% additional land to the base game. Players will be able to tackle new side quests and challenges in a new dungeon type, Dverga Fastings, as well as own an estate, Gravehal Keep. The estate will host several buildings and be home to retainers who will have their own backstories and quests. New enemies will be met with new armor, 18 new weapons, and three new Twists of Fate.

Dragon’s Dogma demo announced, detailed

Capcom has announced that a playable demo of their upcoming open-world action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma will be available on Live Marketplace and PSN before the game’s May 22 release. The demo will include a party of three Pawns tackling two encounters, each of which will serve to highlight a different character class.

Microsoft Flight launches along with Adventure Pack, plane DLC

Microsoft returns to the world of flight sims today with the release of their follow-up to Flight Simulator X, Microsoft Flight. The free-to-player download-only release, available at MicrosoftFlight.com, allows virtual pilots to fly over the Big Island of Hawaii in an Icon A5. Players who sign in using their Games for Windows – Live account will also receive free DLC, including the Boeing Stearman, extra missions, access to Achievements, and an Online Pilot Profile.

Square Enix launches Ankama’s tactical MMORPG, Wakfu

Square Enix has launched Ankama’s tactical MMORPG, Wakfu. The Mac, Linux, Windows PC release is available as a free download with a premium model that carries a subscription fee of $6 a month. Premium members have access to the highest levels, all areas of the game, all story chapters, 16 professions, the ability to create and join guilds, and the ability to be a governor. Both free and premium members will be able to purchase items, content, and services through the in-game store.

The follow-up to 2010′s Hyperdimension Neptuni finds the Gamindustri in turmoil after the Criminal of the Free World, Arfoire, emerges victorious against the four CPUs. Now Nepgear, Neptune’s younger sister, and friends IF and Compa must set out to restore order and set things right in the reference-heavy world of Gamindustri.

PS Vita hardware sells over 1.2 million, software over 2 million

Sony has announced that, as of February 26, the PlayStation Vita has sold over 1.2 million units worldwide. The system launched on December 17 in Japan, then in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea before hitting store shelves in North and Latin America, Europe, Singapore, and PAL territories earlier this month. Sony has also reported that software sales, via retail and PSN, now surpass 2 million units.

Case in point: Binary Domain, a new third-person squad-based shooter from Sega and Yakuza’s Toshihiro Nagoshi, is yet another cautionary tale of robotics gone awry.
