Namco Bandai is looking to reignite gamers’ souls today with the release of Soulcalibur V for the 360 and PS3. Set 17 years after the events in SCIV, the latest follows Patroklos and Pyrrha Alexandra as they uncover their family’s history with the Soul swords. In addition to a guest appearance by Ezio Auditore de Firenze from Assassin’s Creed, SCV includes new gameplay features and a beefed-up character creation mode, with custom characters displayable in the new Global Colosseo online hub.
A Collector’s Edition is also available alongside the standard retail version. For $79.99, you get a soundtrack, making-of video, hardcover art book, and Dark Knight and White Knight DLC for Character Creation Mode, all tucked inside a faux leather-bound book.
