The Syndicate series is returning, and in more ways than one. For fans of the original, EA and Good Old Games have announced that Bullfrog’s original isometric strategy title, let’s call it Syndicate 1993, will be available on GOG’s download service this Thursday for $5.99. And for those eager to try out the new version, Starbreeze’s Syndicate 2012, a new four-player co-op demo will launch later this month for the 360 and PS3.

The demo will include one of the game’s nine missions, Western Europe. In it, up to four players will be tasked with infiltrating Cayman Global in order to assassinate Colonel Enrico Gabron and steal vital blueprints on behalf of Wulf Western. Each Agent will be enhanced via their DART6 bio-chip technology implants, allowing them to “breach anything in the wired world – enemies, weapons, even the environment – making them the most efficient and deadly technological weapons in the world.”

Syndicate is set to hit store shelves on February 21 for the 360, PC, and PS3.
