Soulcalibur will be returning later this month with Soulcalibur V for the 360 and PS3. Namco Bandai has announced that the latest entry in the long-running series has gone gold and is on schedule to hit store shelves on January 31. Developed by Project Soul, Soulcalibur V is set 17 years after the events in IV and features the journey of Patroklos, son of Sophitia Alexandra, as he uncovers his family’s history with the Soul swords. In addition to new modes and features, including the Brave Edge and Critical Edge systems, Ubisoft’s Ezio Auditore de Firenze from Assassin’s Creed will also make an appearance as a guest character.
It’s been over five years since Microsoft released Flight Simulator X, and today, the company has announced their return to the genre with the upcoming Microsoft Flight. Flight is scheduled to launch for the PC this spring as a free download with the Icon A5 as the first plane available and the Big Island of Hawaii as the initial flight zone. Virtual pilots can extend their tour after completing the free missions by downloading additional DLC that will add new crafts, regions, and customization options. Microsoft plans for the new content to include “daily aerocache challenges and updates that make every flight unique and fun.” As a bonus, players who use Games for Windows Live to sign in will receive free extras, including the Boeing Stearman plane, additional missions, Achievements, and an Online Pilot Profile.
