Remedy’s Alan Wake Live-exclusive spinoff, American Nightmare, will include a new arcade mode dubbed Fight till Dawn. The studio announced that the new mode will pit Wake against waves of enemies as he attempts to survive the night by tracking down safe havens and weapons to stave off chainsaw- and axe-wielding maniacs. Leaderboard support was also announced, allowing gamers to compare their survival efforts against fellow embattled novelists.
American Nightmare, set in an alternate world based around the Night Springs TV show from the original game, will be launching in the first quarter of 2012 from Microsoft.
