It seems as though Creative Assembly’s been busy lately. Just after the recent announcement of the upcoming Fall of the Samurai standalone expansion, Sega has sent word that there are two new DLC packs available for download today. Now, all players will be able to play as the formerly Limited Edition-exclusive Hattori clan, as well as dismember and decapitate their foes’ armies with the Blood Pack DLC.
The Hattori DLC unlocks the clan for play in the campaign as well as in multiplayer. In addition to gaining access to the most powerful ninja in the game, players will also receive an extra historical battle scenario, extra armor, and some bonus XP for their Avatar. The Blood Pack DLC “adds decapitations, limb removals, blood-spatter effects on weapons and battlefields and much more.” Seeing as how cannons will now blow formations into little meaty chunks, the Blood Pack carries a higher rating than the base game and is available for those age 18 and up.
