Total War: Shogun 2 gets two new DLC packs, Hattori and Blood Pack
It seems as though Creative Assembly’s been busy lately. Just after the recent announcement of the upcoming Fall of the Samurai standalone expansion, Sega has sent word that there are two new DLC packs available for download today. Now, all players will be able to play as the formerly Limited Edition-exclusive Hattori clan, as well as dismember and decapitate their foes’ armies with the Blood Pack DLC.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies to launch on App Store tomorrow
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies experience will be available on iOS handhelds tomorrow. Adapted by Ideaworks Game Studio, Blacks Ops Zombies will be available for third-generation and higher devices, including the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

Microsoft notes banner Black Friday for 360, week sees 900,000+ sold
At six years old, the Xbox 360 has outlasted its predecessor’s retail run and far surpassed it in sales. Microsoft sent along some figures for the week of Black Friday, and it seems as though the system is still finding a welcomed home in many gamers’ libraries. According to Microsoft, the system had “the biggest sales week in the history of Xbox” with over 960,000 consoles sold. Of those, 800,000 were sold within 24 hours. And the Kinect, as both standalone and part of a bundle, sold more than 750,000 units.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations swan dives into hay, rolls onto PC
Assassin’s Creed Revelations, recently released for the 360 and PS3, is now available for the PC. In the final installment of Ezio Auditore’s struggle, the master assassin’s war with the Templars comes to a head in Constantinople as the order attempts to undermine the Ottoman Empire’s authority. After rallying the Assassins, players can jump into an expanded multiplayer mode that includes new modes, maps, and characters.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm – Hour of Twilight (patch 4.3) launches
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm’s third content update, Hour of Twilight (patch 4.3), is up for download. Some of the content introduced with patch 4.3 includes Dragon Soul, an epic 10- and 25-person raid; the ability to customize weapons and armor via Transmogrification; the Fangs of the Father quest line for rogues; three new five-person dungeons (End Time, Well of Eternity, and Hour of Twilight); and a redesigned Darkmoon Faire, which offers new rewards and games. Players of all levels will also be able to take advantage of Void Storage for 80 additional inventory slots.

Total War: Shogun 2 – Fall of the Samurai DLC announced for 2012
Sega will be seeing the samurai off with an upcoming standalone expansion for Total War: Shogun 2, Fall of the Samurai. Set to launch next March, the DLC will see six new playable clans fighting alongside the Emperor or Shogun as Japan faces a turning point with the arrival of America, Britain, and France. A larger and “improved” campaign map will host new island provinces, while new building and tech trees will introduce railways and naval bombardments to the series plus 39 new units, 10 new ship types, and three new agent types.

Gears of War 3 gets free DLC courtesy of new Mission: Impossible
To help promote Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Brad Bird-directed spy thriller Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Gears of War 3 players will be able to snag a download of the Versus Booster Map Pack for free on Thanksgiving. The DLC includes two new maps (Bullet Marsh and Clocktower) as well as three more from the Horde Command Pack (Azura, Rustlung, and Blood Drive). But there’s more! A free weapon skin pack is also on offer to players from around the globe … but there’s a catch.

Batman: Arkham City launches for PC, Robin DLC for 360 and PS3
Batman: Arkham City has launched for Games for Windows Live, and is now available on Steam, OnLive, Origin, Impulse, and other digital distribution services. Joining the PC version is the Robin Bundle Pack for the 360 and PS3. The 560 MS Point/$6.99 pack is similar to the recently released Nightwing Bundle, with Robin available for play in all challenge maps as well as in two new included maps. Robin has a unique move list and gadget loadout, and he will also sport a few different looks with two additional skins.
