Grand Theft Auto III is about to turn 10. Eesh – anyone else feeling old now? On October 22, the one that kicked the series into high gear will be hitting the double digits, and to celebrate, Rockstar has announced that they will be launching GTA3 for several iOS and Android mobile devices as well as sell a limited-edition action figure of Claude. The $149.99 figure can be pre-ordered through the Rockstar Warehouse, and the figure, which sports his classic getup of cargo paints and bomber jacket, is set to ship out on October 20. Claude will come packing a bat, knife, grenades, pistol, sniper rifle, and assault rifle.
The Rockstar Warehouse is selling additional anniversary merchandise, which will also be present at the GTA3 gallery at the 2011 New York Comic-Con (October 14-16). If you would like a chance to win one, Rockstar Social Club members can enter to win one of three figures through October 16.
Rockstar will also be showing the upcoming mobile versions at Comic-Con. The supported versions include iOS devices (iPad 2, iPhone 4S), Android Phones (Droid X2, HTC Evo 2, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix, and Samsung Galaxy S2), and Android Tablets (Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad, Motorola Xoom, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1).
