Activision Independent Games Competition open for submissions

Activision has begun to take submissions for the Activision Independent Games Competition. Open to all independent developers within the U.S., the second AIGC will be administered by IndieCade and offer a developer or developers funding for a game concept, title in development, or completed work, with ownership remaining with the creator. The first-place prize is a cash award of $175,000, and the runner-up will receive $75,000.

Submissions are currently being accepted and will be so through December 31.

“This competition underscores Activision’s commitment to fostering creativity in the independent development community,” Dave Stohl, Executive Vice President of Studios, Activision, said. “Many of us began our careers as indies, so we are very proud to offer this kind of support and encouragement to a couple of the industry’s young visionaries.”
